How a catamaran and sailing boat holiday unfolds

Are we almost ready to go?

The catamaran holiday begins with boarding scheduled after 6:30 pm to give our staff time to clean and tidy up the boat, check the tools and equipment on board. Disembarkation is scheduled for 9:00 am on Saturday morning. Guests who participate in individual boarding generally cannot arrive at the same time, we will take care of putting you in touch for any arrangements. Once on board, after the introductions, a common fund will be formed for the galley, diesel, port charges and final cleaning, immediately after everyone goes shopping! Upon return, the guests together with the skipper will take care of stowing and arranging the shopping, as well as arranging the luggage in the cabins. We will then proceed to the briefing of the boat with all the participants of the catamaran or sailing cruise, we will discuss the safety regulations, the Coast Guard ordinances regarding protected areas and navigation restrictions, approach to the marine environment and anti-pollution indications, the functioning of the sanitary services, the electricity on board, the correct use of water and everything necessary for the use of the various on-board equipment. All these operations usually require a bit of time and it is for this reason that on the evening of arrival, as well as on Friday evening after the return, we will have dinner at the restaurant and not on board! Departure is scheduled after the briefing or the following day. The itinerary will be respected taking into account the limits imposed by the weather conditions and the consequent, unquestionable decisions, taken by the skipper. It will also be necessary, during the week on the catamaran, to make stops in port to refuel with water, fuel and electricity. The return is scheduled for Friday at approximately 18:00. In case of adverse weather conditions, disembarkation may also be carried out at another port.

IMPORTANT: remember to inform the skipper in advance if you suffer from serious allergies, food intolerances and any need to take life-saving medications (especially if they require refrigeration). Any breakage and/or loss of equipment on the boat caused by the members' negligence must be repaired before the end of the sailing holiday using the common fund. The skipper and crew are exempt from all expenses! Days of missed sailing due to adverse weather are not recoverable. What to bring on a catamaran: the skippers of Quality Sail will give you useful advice on what to put in your luggage; first of all, use only soft luggage as there is no space for hard luggage, then, it is not necessary to have more than one bag per person, you do not need blankets or sleeping bags, because you will find them on board, boat shoes with white rubber soles (to be used only on the boat), open beach shoes (sandals or flip-flops, shorts for the beach and long evening trousers, various swimsuits, beach towels (preferably in light and compact microfibre), various t-shirts, windcheater and fleece, sun hat and a sailing hat, sunglasses, sun creams (no oils), transdermal patches for those who suffer from seasickness and personal medicines, bath sponges, sheets and pillowcase (if not requested), camera, mobile phone charger possibly with a 12 volt car connection, diving equipment (mask-fins-wetsuit).
